During this session, Kathleen Wright, the Director of the SALT Program at Golden Gate University, will review the Pass-Through Entity Tax and strategies to help your clients navigate SALT caps.

Learning Objectives:


  • Recognize the benefit to your client from the pass-through entity election and learn who qualifies to make the election

  • Recall how to calculate the entity level state tax payment

  • Identify the unique issues faced by S Corporations who might make this election

  • Determine how the shareholder credit is computed and how it is applied on the owner's state tax return
